Christmas Gathering

Everybody is welcome to our festive get-together for 2013.

We are going to start off at the wonderful Strathnairn Arts Centre from 2pm on 1 December 2013 then at about 3:30pm we will go a little further up the road to the Shepherds Lookout.

From both places we will see a lovely view of the Murrumbidgee Gorge crossing the NSW/ACT border.

Committee members of the Ginninderra Falls Association had a successful meeting recently with landowners with an interest in the GFA's proposal for a new national park centred on Ginninderra Falls.  There was a stimulating exchange of views and discussion on issues put forward. The parties agreed that they should meet again in about six months' time for another information-sharing meeting.

The GFA committee is organising an information session for landowners in the vicinity of Ginninderra Falls to bring them up-to-date with our activities in the past year and what we have in mind. The function will be held on Thursday, 29 November 2012, at the Southern Cross Club premises in Jamieson. A NSW National Parks &Wildlife Service manager, Gary Saunders, of Queanbeyan, has accepted the committee's invitation to attend the meeting and will be asked to speak and/or answer questions. His responsibilities at the NP&WS include planning and assessment.
