Murrumbidgee - Ginninderra Gorges National Park: Information Note 10

Our vice-president Bryan Rhynehart gave a talk about the 'Heritage values of the Ginninderra Falls and region' at the recent spring meeting. You can see a copy of Brian’s talk and all the photos he had hoped to show (damn those projectors) on our website at Heritage values of the Ginninderra Falls and region.

This spring meeting doubled up as our first AGM so we did the usual: President Report, Statement of Accounts and election of office bearers for the new financial year. Welcome to the new committee members - Shirley Gourgaud and Vena Murray. Once again visit our website at Annual General Meeting - Spring 2012 to see copies of these reports and Ginninderra Falls Association Committee for a full list of the new committee.

At this meeting Dr Bryan Pratt was unanimously elected as our first Patron. Dr Pratt was part of the community working group which drafted The Proposal for a Murrumbidgee - Ginninderra Gorges National Park. A brief outline about him is at Patron: Dr Bryan Pratt.

Prior to the local government elections in NSW, we canvassed the views of all candidates for the Yass Valley Council. You can see their responses at Yass Valley Council Local Government Election 2012. The ACT is having its own go at an election and so we repeated our questionnaire to all ACT candidates – see ACT Election 2012.
