This visit was arranged at the request of Alix Goodwin, CEO of NPA NSW. David Maxwell of the Riverview Company, and Anna Hyles, Ginninderra Falls property owner, were hosts. Robyn Coghlan, Ian Trapnell, Sally Pearce and David Kelly, from Ginninderra Falls Association,(GFA), attended as did Judy Kelly of GFA and NPA ACT. Rod Griffiths also attended on behalf of NPA ACT.
Most of you will be aware by now that our appeal against Ginninderry Stage 1 to the ACT Civil and Administrative Appeals Tribunal was withdrawn in February. For us the critical deal was the agreement by all parties involved on further measures to protect the Little Eagle and Scarlet Robin. Dr Steve Debus, a well-known bird expert who has worked on the Little Eagle in New England, has now joined the ACT Government’s Little Eagle Research Panel.
