REPORT. GFA meeting with Shane Rattenbury . Tue 18th June 2014. ACT Assembly

Present. Chris Watson , John Connelly, Doug Finlayson , Chris Emery ,Robyn Coglan.

Present from ACT Govt. Shane Rattenbury , Larry O’Loughlan , Indira Esquerra.

1. Chris. Gives overview, tables all our reports etc.

2. Shane. “Riverview have a formal partnership with the LDA. A MOU is in existence.”

3. Doug. Outlines correspondence with Katy Gallagher etc regarding getting on the CBC. However this committee is only interested in service arrangements.

4. Shane. ‘I will look into what is the future of the CBC”.

5. Robyn. Development in NSW will create a precedent for development all along the corridor north of the ACT. Need to provide protection.

6. Shane. Good but we do not have the money.

7. Indira. Asks about ownership of the NSW land.

8. Shane. “ I will ask TAMs to make a report on the environmental impact of the development.”

9. Larry. “Maxwell is a careful operator.” Maxwell should share ecological information” “Keep on talking to Dan Stewart , he will make more decisions than any cross border group”

10. Larry. “ A conservation coventant is better than a National Park. State governments have a habit of carving off chunks of national parks when it suits them.
