      1. Correction to minutes of 19 May,
      2. Dave K outlines proceedings at 16 June meeting with Frances Bradshaw from the EDO

  1. Treasurers report
  1. Web masters report.
  1. Western Edge / Micro forests / Mature trees. Studies.
      1. Dave K. Western edge preliminary studies have been done. These reports are now (1 July 2022) available. ,
      2. Robyn. The new planning ACT is very difficult to read and make sense of.
      3. Dave K. Cons Council is not making clear what they have submitted in relation to the three studies
      4. DISCUSSION. The published documents on all three matters are “mind numbingly” difficult to read.
  1. Hyles quarry.
      1. Chris Watson is the official EDO client but Dave K has been accepted as an associated party..
      2. EDO has written to the YVC to get their view of the matter.
      3. The main point of dispute revolves around the definition of “existing use rights”. The E3 zone was implemented in 1986 whereas the quarry started operation in 1984. The question si do existing rights cover only what was excavated in 1986 or is the quarrying entitlement to the whole of the Hyles land.
      4. So far EDO has received no response from YVC. They are thinking of approaching both the NSW Ombudsman and the NSW EPA.
      5. John. The matter can only be resolved by taking the matter to the NSW Land and Environment Court. This could be a very expensive exercise as Hyles have the financial capacity to fight it. YVC will be very unwilling to take the matter to court as it will be ver expensive with no certainty of what the outcome will be.
      6. Dave K. Should we engage in lobbying on the matter.
      7. Darryl. We could raise the issue with David Pocock. He is organising a public meeting for Wed July 20th at 6:30pm.at the Albert Hall
      8. ACTION Dave K we should make a point of attending that meeting.
  1. Green Waste facility.
      1. No DA is currently available . Subsequently a DA is available. .
